Technology Support for Older Adults
The links above provide free resources to help seniors with their digital literacy.
My late father would have benefited from this resource. Being curious is a great way to keep your mind active, but as they say ‘curiosity killed the cat’, and Mr. Marvelous could sometimes get himself into a pickle with his computer. Don’t even get me started on password protection, and clicking everything that comes up on his screen. Anyone that uses a computer or smart phone for personal or travel use, it is necessary to educate yourself on:
- creating strong passwords and why it is important
- safety tips for smart phones, social networking
- protecting yourself from identity theft, phishing and scams
- online dating security
Too many seniors are taken advantage of every year and educating yourself so you are not a target is unfortunately necessary these days.
