Today we are heading to the Inverary Resort for two nights. This is the beginning of my birthday spa weekend courtesy of my beautiful family. Knowing that spas, hot tubs and great food are ahead, it was time to get in some exercise.
We enjoyed a shorter hike today through Uisage Ban Falls Provincial Park. I’m running out of adjectives to describe the scenery. On the way, we found this interesting shop in Wreck Cove where I bought this new hat from a cute little hippy-dippy store called Sew Inclined where the owner, Barbara, custom designs and makes chapeaux on site. She has a letter from Sir Elton John thanking her for his new hat. Very cool! I love my hat.

Arrived at the Inverary Resort that is located at the beginning and at the end of the Cabot Trail. We had a quick hot tub (outside) and a pool dip before dinner. We enjoyed a fabulous meal at the Lakeside Restaurant. Covid protocols are strictly enforced. My appetizer was Brown Buttered Mussels with tomato jam, buttermilk biscuit, local greens, and the entrée was a Seafood Mac ‘n Brie. Prosecco was a nice choice to cut the richness. How could you end the night better? With a glass of port sitting around a bonfire on a crisp evening by the bay.
