Prince Edward Island – Day 7 – Charlottetown

The drive to the ferry terminal pretty was easy, like the entire drive so far. It really isn’t difficult to get around. The roads are in excellent condition and the signage is clear. I’m excited to be seeing PEI. I’ve flown to Charlottetown but I haven’t spent significant time there. We have a couple of days and should be able to see most of the Island.

Northumberland Ferry to PEI (Caribou > Woods Island)

The wait for the ferry was about an hour, but we didn’t want to take any chances missing it. Drive on to the ferry, park and enjoy a quick, comfortable 75 minute sail over, present your PEI pass and one person per vehicle gets their Covid swab. The wait for swabbing was efficient. I the result is positive, they email you, otherwise no news is good news. Off we went to Charlottetown (Home of Confederation). We stayed at the Great George Hotel. 🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺 High on the recommend. The rooms are beautifully appointed and they have thought of everything. Even the bathroom floors are heated. Shannon and I had a lovely surf and turf dinner at Sim’s Corner Steakhouse and Oyster Bar and we couldn’t wait to jump into our luxurious beds. PEI, so far adorbs.
